Guideline to Nomination of Candidates for Parliamentary Elections 2016

Nomination Dates

The nomination of candidates for the following elective positions will be conducted on Wednesday, 2nd and Thursday, 3rd December 2015:

  1. Directly Elected Member of Parliament (representing constituency);
  2. District Woman Representative to Parliament;
  3. Member of Parliament for Persons with Disability (PWD).

Nomination Venues

The nomination of candidates for Directly Elected Member of Parliament (representing constituency) and District Woman Representative to Parliament, shall take place at the respective Electoral Commission District Office across the whole Country beginning at 9.00 a.m. and ending at 5:00pm on each of the appointed dates.

The nomination of Members of Parliament representing Persons with Disability (PWDs) will be held at the Electoral Commission Headquarters in Kampala on the above dates.
