National Consultative Forum and Uganda Human Rights Commission Collaborate to Safeguard Elections

The National Consultative Forum had the honor of paying a courtesy visit to the Uganda Human Rights Commission to explore collaborative efforts in addressing critical issues such as electoral violence, gender discrimination, and promoting inclusion in election observation.

Led by Mr. Mulekwah Leonard, Secretary of both the Electoral Commission - Uganda and the Forum, the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with the esteemed Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission, Mrs. Mariam Wangadya. Her commendation of the Electoral Commission for fostering unity among political parties is deeply appreciated.

As an umbrella institution representing all registered political parties and organizations in our nation, the National Consultative Forum is committed to working hand-in-hand with the Uganda Human Rights Commission to uphold democratic principles and ensure free, fair, and inclusive elections for all. Notably, the secretariat of the Forum is graciously hosted by the Electoral Commission, underscoring our shared commitment to transparency, cooperation, and democratic governance.
