The Electoral Commission appointed Wednesday 4^th February 2026 as the polling day for elections of Chairpersons, Directly-elected Councillors and Women Councillors for Sub County/Town/Municipal Division.

Voting shall be by universal adult suffrage, and shall take place at all polling stations in all the Sub Counties, Town Councils and Municipal Divisions, across the country, beginning at 7:00am till 4:00pm. Thereafter, counting of votes and declaration of results shall take place.

The Electoral Commission informs political parties, candidates, their agents and supporters, and the general public that, following its decision of 22^nd January 2026 to postpone the elections for District Chairperson, Directly Elected District Councillors, and District Women Councillors in Butebo District, a new polling date has been confirmed.

The Electoral Commission informs political parties, candidates, voters, and the general public that Wednesday, 4^th February 2026, has been appointed as the polling day for Local Government Council Elections in the various electoral areas across the country where polling was not conducted, or not concluded on the previously appointed polling dates due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Electoral Commission appointed Monday 2^nd February 2026, as the polling day for elections of the Regional Older Persons (OP) Representative to Parliament for Central Region.

The elections will take place during the Regional Delegates’ Conference, which will be held at WAKISSHA Resource Centre, Wakiso Town Council, starting at 7:am till 4:00pm.
