Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), as follows:
By-Election Process for Tororo District Chairperson The Electoral Commission rolled out the electoral programme for the conduct of the by-election of the District Chairperson, Tororo District Local Government on the 3rd May, 2017 with a Stakeholders' Meeting. During the meeting, the leadership of Tororo County requested the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission for a meeting in their area. On 19th May, 2017, the Commission held a meeting with the leadership of Tororo County as per their invitation following the roll out of the by-election programme.
Electoral Programme for By-Election of Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Constituency, Wakiso District
a. Introduction The vacancy of the Directly-elected Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Constituency, Wakiso District occurred following a court nullification of the election of former Member of Parliament.

The Electoral Commission informs political parties, independent candidates, voters and all other stakeholders in Aruu North County that Mr. Nyero Francis Elton Lakelle has been disqualified as a candidate for the position of Directly-elected Member of Parliament for Aruu North County, Pader District.
This follows a review of the candidate’s nomination, conducted by the Electoral Commission which found that Mr. Nyero Francis Elton Lakelle (Independent) had not complied with the law on nomination.
The vacancy of the District Woman Member of Parliament for Moroto District occurred following the death of the former MP Hon. Annie Logiel. As required by law the statutory deadline for conducting a Parliamentary by-election is sixty (60) days after notification from Clerk to Parliament on the occurrence of the vacancy. The Commission received the notice on 27th February 2017, and therefore, the statutory deadline for holding the by-election is 27th April 2017.
